
Sharad Sanghi
Chief Executive Officer and MD, Netmagic Solutions
Sharad Sanghi is the Chief Executive Officer and MD of Netmagic Solutions Pvt Ltd. Mr. Sanghi founded Netmagic in July 1998.Sharad is an industry veteran and has been involved in setting up Internet backbones and provisioning Internet services in the industry from 1990. He is one of the few Indians to have worked as a backbone engineer of the first major backbone of the Internet - NSFNet in the US.During his six-year stint in the US, Mr. Sanghi worked for the Unified Network Management Architecture Group at AT&T Bell Labs, the Backbone Engineering Group for the NSFNET (ANS) and the Router Systems Development Group for Advantis (IBM Global Network). Thereafter, he consulted with Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust in designing and deploying wide area networks.
On his return to India, Mr. Sanghi provided technical consulting services for ISPs and large enterprises. Mr. Sanghi has a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a Masters from Columbia University, New York. Sharad is also member of the board of NIXI.

B.V. Jagadeesh
President & CEO, Virtela
B.V. Jagadeesh is a highly regarded business executive with a proven track record of managing and building market leaders. He is currently the President & CEO at Virtela. Previously, Jagadeesh served as Group Vice President and General Manager of Citrix Systems' Application Networking Group after the company's acquisition of NetScaler, where he served as President and CEO. During his tenure at NetScaler, Jagadeesh grew the company to become the market leader in Application Delivery Systems, leading to its acquisition by Citrix for $325 million. Prior to NetScaler, he co-founded Exodus Communications. While with Exodus, he successfully helped the company grow from start-up to a leader in the Web co-location market and was instrumental in leading its highly successful initial public offering (IPO). Jagadeesh was also president and CEO of 3Leaf Systems, which was sold in a private transaction, and has held various management and engineering positions at Novell and 3Com.Jagadeesh also served as a director of Ankeena (acquired by Juniper Networks) and Ocarina Networks (acquired by Dell).
Jagadeesh holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Bangalore University and a master's degree in electrical engineering from University of Bombay, India.

Raj Dugar
Senior MD, FIL Capital Advisors (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Raj is the Senior MD of FIL Capital Advisors (India) Pvt. Ltd. He has over ten years of leadership experience in the Indian private equity industry, and has made investments across multiple stages and industries. He currently serves on the boards of Netmagic Solutions, Coastal Projects and VMC.During his private equity career, Raj has worked in The Carlyle Group and was earlier the co-founder and Managing Director of WestBridge Capital Partners (now Sequoia India). In addition to his current investments, his earlier investments include Punj Lloyd, FirstRing (acquired by Firstsource), Celetronix (acquired by Jabil Circuits) and July Systems.
Raj started his career as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton where he worked both in USA and India. He subsequently worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for India coverage.
Raj holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College where he double majored in Engineering and Economics. He also has an MBA degree from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Anup Gupta

Anup Gupta is a Managing Director with Nexus Venture Partners. Prior to joining Nexus, Anup was the Group Chief Operating Officer at WNS, a leading global IT Enabled Services (ITES) company with revenue of more than $300 million, where he was responsible for global operations comprising over 20,000 employees across 7 countries. In his 8 year tenure, Anup played a key role in transforming WNS from an early stage company into a top tier global business which witnessed rapid growth and listed on the NYSE.Previously, Anup was a Principal with eVentures India, a pioneer in the venture capital sector in India. At eVentures, he focused on developing services and consumer start-ups many of which have become market leading companies, such as CustomerAsset (acquired by Firstsource), Makemytrip (sale to SAIF partners) and Netmagic. Prior to eVentures, Anup was a Management Consultant at Booz & Company, where he worked with a several industrial companies in India.
Anup graduated at the top of his classes from both IIM, Calcutta and IIT Kharagpur.

Upal Basu

Upal is the Managing Director of NGP Advisors India, part of Nokia Growth Partners (NGP), the investing arm of Nokia. Upal brings more 18 years of technology and telecom experience. Prior to NGP, Upal was the Founder and first CEO of Mformation Technologies in the US, the world’s leading mobile device management company. Over a 8 year tenure, he helped build the company, and led Product Management, Marketing and Business Development, and Fund raising activities for the company.Prior to mFormation, Upal was a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company in New York where he advised clients on major acquisitions, new market entry strategies, and the creation of new businesses. Prior to joining McKinsey, Upal led Product Management activities for Risk Management Solutions (RMS), a leading provider of software technologies for the management of insurance risks.
Upal has an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Imperial College, London.
