Use case for SimpliDrive
Backup and Archive
SimpliDrive can be used as a web-scale, durable and secured solution for data backup and long term archival. You can make use of Object Versioning capabilities to upload / download your files on to a Version-enabled container. Before uploading any object in to an object-enabled container, it checks whether the object is an existing or a new one. If the object being uploaded is new, then the old version of object is marked a version update and the newly uploaded version becomes the current copy. You can download or delete current version of the object.
You can also decide to seamlessly move your files from a version-enabled container to a non-version-enabled container and vice versa. For more details on version-enabled containers, please refer to SimpliDrive FAQ section.
