Mr Sharad Sanghi is at the helm of India business for NTT Ltd., a USD 11 billion global technology services company. He is responsible for scaling the entity to over 6500 employees, 10 high-density and hyperscale data centers, delivering transformational services elements including managed hybrid infrastructure, and cloud services, as well as foundational technology solutions and services to over 3500 clients.
Sharad is also the CEO, NTT Global Data Centers & Cloud Infrastructure India Private Limited. He exemplifies what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, to generate returns for all stakeholders, and be deeply connected in everything one does. His passion and commitment to deliver value to clients is evident in the way he founded a customer-focused service organization called Netmagic in July 1998, which was later acquired by NTT, a Fortune 500 company.
Sharad is considered a pioneer in the Indian cloud computing space, and his vision helped erstwhile NTT-Netmagic become a leader in the Data center and Public Cloud services market in the country. His strong leadership, coupled with his understanding of the India market and the NTT businesses, will be invaluable for the growth of the business.
Sharad is an industry veteran with over 30 years of extensive experience in developing Internet backbone infrastructure and providing Internet services. He is also the Co-chairman of the Data Center Council of apex associations’ namely the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM).
During a six-year stint in the US, Sharad worked for Unified Network Management Architecture Group at AT&T Bell Labs, the Backbone Engineering Group of NSFNET (ANS) and the Router Systems Development Group of Advantis (IBM Global Network). He has also helped Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust design and deploy Wide Area Networks.
Sharad is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Bombay and holder of a Master’s degree from Columbia University, New York. He is also the recipient of IIT Bombay’s Distinguished Alumnus Award 2021, a prestigious recognition conferred upon alumni for their outstanding achievements in the spheres of academia, industry, public service and social welfare.
Masaaki Moribayashi was appointed President and Board Director in April 2021 after serving as the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) for Services of NTT Ltd., where he was responsible for driving growth and delivery of the services portfolio, including data center, cloud, cloud communications, and network services. Prior to that role, he was SEVP at NTT Communications Corporation, where he was responsible for technology, services, operations, information security, and global businesses. Masaaki began his career at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation in 1984, following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Hokkaido University in Japan and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University, New York, USA.
Yasuo Suzuki is Executive Vice President of Business Management and is responsible for the overall planning functions of data center services including expansion, investment, and budget strategy and he is also President of NTT Global Data Centers Corporation. Yasuo has over 20 years of IT services industry experience in leadership roles and is a key member who helped expand NTT Communications' international business portfolio. Prior to his current position, Yasuo spent 5 years at RagingWire as Senior Vice President of Corporate Planning and contributed to the growth of the NTT data center business.
Nitin Mishra is head of Cloud services business in India and also serves as Board Director on some of NTT Ltd’s India companies. The India business is part of NTT Ltd, which is US$11 billion global technology Services arm of the NTT Group.
Nitin has almost 25 years of industry experience in the ICT domain and Indian Enterprise market. He has been a key Management member of the erstwhile Netmagic for over 21 years and has played many significant multi-functional roles. Netmagic was acquired by NTT and is now integrated into NTT Ltd.
Prior to current role, He was responsible for driving revenues and profitability across all NTT-Netmagic product lines including Data centres, Cloud, Network, Managed services and security. He was instrumental in productizing services leveraging future technologies that enabled the company to enter new business areas and gain first mover’s advantage.
He was also overseeing Business Planning, Large Bids and Internal business process automation functions.
During his tenure, the company’s services portfolio expanded to cover spectrum of Managed Hosted Services, Industry Leading Advanced Security and Cloud Services (IaaS). Each of these service lines have matured into significant revenue streams and contributed to the growth of the company. During start-up phase, as member of Netmagic’s Founding Team, Nitin played a crucial role in bringing on investors, managing marketing, sales and business development.
Prior to joining the company, Nitin briefly served in companies such as VSNL (Tata Communications) and HCL Comnet. Nitin has authored many articles and regularly writes on topics in the technology domain, He also speaks at various forums on Cloud and Infrastructure Management.
Nitin holds an engineering degree in computer science from VJTI (1991-95), Mumbai and PGDBM from XLRI (1996-98), Jamshedpur.
