Mr Sharad Sanghi is the CEO of the India business of NTT Ltd., a US$11 billion global technology services company.
In this role, he is responsible for scaling one of India’s largest full-stack ICT service providers enabling over 3500 enterprise clients’ business outcomes with capabilities delivered seamlessly across the edge to the cloud. This includes transformational solutions like managed hybrid hosting, cybersecurity, network modernisation, employee collaboration and customer experience. He is also the CEO of NTT Global Data Centers & Cloud Infrastructure India.
With over 25 years of extensive experience in developing Internet backbone infrastructure and providing Internet services, Sharad Sanghi exemplifies what it takes to be a successful business leader. He is known to generate returns for all stakeholders, and be deeply connected in everything he does.
As a pioneer in the Indian cloud computing space, Sharad serves as the Chairman and Co-chairman of the Data Center Council of apex associations’ namely the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Associated Chambers of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM) respectively.
Sharad Sanghi started his entrepreneurial journey in 1998 when he founded Netmagic which later became a leader in the data center market of India. His sheer passion, dedication and vision led erstwhile Netmagic through 3 successful VC funding rounds with Nexus Venture Partners, Fidelity, Cisco Systems and Nokia Growth Partners. He led the 2012 acquisition of the company’s majority stake by NTT, a Fortune 500 company - a first in the Indian data center market. He was inducted in the ‘Hall of fame’ series by The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Mumbai in 2019 for being an Outstanding Entrepreneur in the Deep Tech category.
Prior to this, during a six-year stint in the US, Sharad worked for Unified Network Management Architecture Group at AT&T Bell Labs, the Backbone Engineering Group of NSFNET (ANS) and the Router Systems Development Group of Advantis (IBM Global Network). He also helped Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust design and deploy Wide Area Networks.
Sharad is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Bombay and holder of a Master’s degree from Columbia University, New York. He is also the recipient of IIT Bombay’s Distinguished Alumnus Award 2021, a prestigious recognition conferred upon alumni for their outstanding achievements in the spheres of academia, industry, public service and social welfare.
Alok Bajpai heads the combined Finance functions including Corporate Finance, Accounting, Procurement, MIS, Business IT and CRM in India for NTT Ltd., a US$11 billion global technology services company.
In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has built an impeccable and illustrious record in Corporate Finance and Legal functions within and outside the NTT ecosystem.
Alok Bajpai took charge as Global Chief Financial Officer at erstwhile Netmagic in February, 2017. His key areas of interest and expertise include fund management, financial reporting, merger & acquisition and treasury management.
In his previous roles, he has served as the Global CFO at CSS Corp, Finance and Accounts Head at Infosys, Global CFO at Intelligroup (which was acquired by NTT Data) and India Head and Global CFO at Aditi Technologies. Alok Bajpai was part of the strategic turnaround team that helped grow the stock price for Intelligroup by 400%.
In the course of his career, Alok has worked across geographies, with organisations in North America, Africa and India and also across diverse industries, varied cultures, and in different roles. This has helped enrich his professional as well as personal perspective giving him the acumen to appreciate situations and solve problems more holistically.
Alok is a chartered accountant, a CPA from Colorado and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
In his free time, Alok enjoys travelling and networking. A keen sportsman, he is a tennis and badminton enthusiast with a passion for golf.
Nitin Mishra is head of Cloud services business in India and also serves as Board Director on some of NTT Ltd’s India companies. The India business is part of NTT Ltd, which is US$11 billion global technology Services arm of the NTT Group.
Nitin has almost 25 years of industry experience in the ICT domain and Indian Enterprise market. He has been a key Management member of the erstwhile Netmagic for over 21 years and has played many significant multi-functional roles. Netmagic was acquired by NTT and is now integrated into NTT Ltd.
Prior to current role, He was responsible for driving revenues and profitability across all NTT-Netmagic product lines including Data centres, Cloud, Network, Managed services and security. He was instrumental in productizing services leveraging future technologies that enabled the company to enter new business areas and gain first mover’s advantage.
He was also overseeing Business Planning, Large Bids and Internal business process automation functions.
During his tenure, the company’s services portfolio expanded to cover spectrum of Managed Hosted Services, Industry Leading Advanced Security and Cloud Services (IaaS). Each of these service lines have matured into significant revenue streams and contributed to the growth of the company. During start-up phase, as member of Netmagic’s Founding Team, Nitin played a crucial role in bringing on investors, managing marketing, sales and business development.
Prior to joining the company, Nitin briefly served in companies such as VSNL (Tata Communications) and HCL Comnet. Nitin has authored many articles and regularly writes on topics in the technology domain, He also speaks at various forums on Cloud and Infrastructure Management.
Nitin holds an engineering degree in computer science from VJTI (1991-95), Mumbai and PGDBM from XLRI (1996-98), Jamshedpur.
